LC Women Compete at Iona Meet of Champions

BRONX, NY – The Lynchburg College women's cross country team placed 12th Saturday in the Iona College Meet of Champions, held at Van Cortlandt Park. The event was comprised of largely Division I schools, with Army and Penn taking the top two spots.

Kate Avery (unattached) won the individual title in 21:19.

Freshman Leidy J. Arias Bernal finished 50^th in 25:13, with senior Kiley Trennepohl close behind in 52^nd place in 25:21. Ashley Saba placed 60^th in 25:54, Suki Hoffman crossed the finish line in 64^th (26:07) and Jacqueline Graham took 71st (26:40).

The Hornets head to the Doc Jopson Invite this Friday at 5 p.m. at Peakview Park in Penn Laird, VA.
