Hornet Women's XC Takes Third at UVA Meet

            EARLYSVILLE, VA - The Lynchburg College women's cross country team placed third Friday afternoon at the five-team Lou Onesty Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia. The Cavaliers won the competition with 15 team points, with Virginia Commonwealth in second with 62 points, LC with 98 and Norfolk State in fourth.

Sophomore Molly Galloway (pictured - Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) was the top Hornet finisher, placing 15th in 19:57. Krystal Foster (Islandia, NY/St. John the Baptist) was 19th in 20:05, Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/Altmar-Parish Williamstown) took 27th in 21:06 and Kiley Trennepohl  (Monticello, IN/The Culver Academies) was 30th in 21:25. Suki Hoffman (San Diego, CA/Scrippi Ranch) was 32nd in 21:55.

LC is back in action next Friday at Virginia Tech at 5 p.m.
