LC Volleyball Splits Pair at Emory Invitational

ATLANTA, GA - The Lynchburg College volleyball team split a pair of matches Friday at the Emory University Classic.


The Hornets swept Brenau University 25-21, 25-19, 35-33 in the opener. Freshman Amanda Perry paced LC with 10 kills, while Jennifer Garrett posted eight. Gabby Myers and Mackenzie Ross each had 16 assists, and Sam Page had 10 digs. Ross added nine digs and Perry had eight. 


Cornell College won the nightcap against LC 25-23, 25-22, 25-22. Aricquel Payne had 12 kills while Perry had nine and Garrett contributed eight. Ross tallied 28 assists, Page had 12 digs and Sierra Strathy finished with five blocks and five aces and Garrett had seven blocks.


The Hornets (6-9) are scheduled to face Randolph-Macon College (noon) and host Emory (2:30 p.m.) on Saturday.
