LYNCHBURG, VA – The 2011 Lynchburg College volleyball schedule was released Monday and has the Hornets opening the season with a tri-match tournament at Marymount University.

Winners of 18 matches last season including a 7-3 mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), Lynchburg hosts their first home match of the season on September 7, against Shenandoah University at 7 pm in Turner Gym.

LC will also host a pair of tri-match tournaments over the season and takes on reigning ODAC champion Washington & Lee University on October 15 at home. Last season, LC defeated the Generals in a five-set thriller in Turner Gym.
