Hornet Kori Penick Named ODAC Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

FOREST, VA – Lynchburg College junior Kori Penick was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, for the week of February 13.

Penick, in her first season at LC, moved into second-place all-time with a 41'2" heave in the shot put Friday night at the Liberty Quad. She finished fourth out of 10 entrants - all other competitors in the event were from Division I.

Penick sits first in the conference with the best shot put heave of the season in the ODAC, and ranks 10^th in the weight throw.

Lynchburg is slated to compete next Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays.
