LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's and women's indoor track and field teams finished competition Saturday at the two-day Liberty University Kickoff, featuring many Division I teams.

Christina Washington took third in the 800-meter run in 2:24. Jasmyne Johnson finished the women's 200-meter dash in 27.38 and ran the 400 in 1:04.78. Nia Brown had a heave of 33'10" in the shot put and Emily Davis threw 39'03" in the weight throw. Cat Wallace ran the 60-meter dash in 8.39.

Rachad Davis ran the men's 200-meter dash in 23.54, placing 15th and ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.67 to finish eighth. Jared Bloomquist was fourth in the high jump, leaping 5'1 ½", and Nathan Curtis was 11th in the pole vault, clearing 13' 1 ½". Zachary Kezar had a distance of 21' 9" in the long jump, Eric Van Dunk threw the shot put 46'07 ¼" to take eighth while teammate Ralph Davis was ninth (45'06 ½"). Davis set a new personal best in the weight throw (52'2").

The Hornets host the annual LC intra-squad meet Thursday at 4 p.m. in Wake Field House.
