LC Track & Field Opens Up Indoor Season at the Liberty Kickoff
LYNCHBURG, VA– The Lynchburg College track and field team opened up its 2011-12 indoor season at the Liberty Kickoff hosted by Liberty University.
Lynchburg finished fourth in the men's 4x800 meter relay, with a time of 8:28.8. Sophomores Evan Parry and Edmond Hawi and freshmen Daniel Walters and Chris Kobiela composed LC's relay team.
Sophomore Cat Wallace finished 13th in the pentathlon with a score of 1908 while sophomore Emily Davis registered a mark of 39'03" in the weight throw, which placed her at 17th. Fellow sophomore Kelsey Hughes finished in the weight throw with a mark of 29'10".
Lynchburg will be in action tomorrow for the second and final day of the Liberty Kickoff.
