LC Women Lose 7-2 to Randolph College

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team faced off against Randolph College at home on Friday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup and lost 7-2.

Betsy Stipa and Melissa Drinkard teamed up at #1 doubles and took a hard fought 8-6 victory. Drinkard competed at #1 singles and was able to capture four games in the first set. Stipa won by forfeit at #2 singles because Pachi Verdezoto of Randolph was unable to compete. Madison Dixon took three games in the first set and four in the second at #3 singles, while Catherine So took four games in the first set at #5 singles.

The Hornet women (1-6 overall, 0-4 ODAC) will be back in action at home on Thursday, April 4 against Randolph-Macon College at 3:00 p.m.
