LC Women's Tennis Drops Close Match to Randolph-Macon 5-4

ASHLAND, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team traveled to face off against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Randolph-Macon College on Tuesday and lost in a tight match 5-4.

Sophomore Hailey Bettencourt teamed up with freshman Madison Dixon to win 8-3 at #3 doubles. Sophomore Kelsey Bergen competed at #1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2, while freshman Melissa Drinkard took #2 singles 6-2, 6-0. Bettencourt also notched a 6-2, 6-3 win at #6 singles

The Hornet women (4-9/2-7 ODAC) will be back in action at home on Thursday in a non-conference matchup against Southern Virginia University at 3 p.m.
