Women's Soccer Receives Team Academic Award for 2012-13

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Lynchburg College women's soccer team garnered another academic award today as the Hornets received a National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award.

The award is handed out to any men's or women's college team who posts a team grade point average higher than a 3.0. High school teams are also eligible for the award and must post a 3.25 GPA. The Hornets had a cumulative GPA of 3.45 for the 2012-13 academic year.

A total of 269 men's and 593 women's programs were recognized across all three divisions of NCAA athletics, while 358 high school teams were honors.

Recognition for the 2013-14 school year will be released next November.
