Lynchburg Duo Score 1st Goals to Down SU 2-0 ODAC

WINCHESTER, VA – The #11 Lynchburg College women's soccer team kept the pressure on Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon, picking up a 2-0 road Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory.

Lynchburg advanced into the Shenandoah zone on multiple occasions in the first half, putting five shots on goal that were turned away by Erin Septer.

LC's Daisy Thomas put the ball into the net at 35:34 for the game-winner, collecting her first career goal in the process.

Lynchburg added an insurance tally early in the second half when Rachel Sadowski found Nicole Kopsidas six minutes in for her first collegiate goal.

Tess Frelick made two saves for LC, while Karsen Schottleutner added one. Septer finished with 10 saves for Shenandoah (6-5-1/4-1-1).

Lynchburg outshot SU 21-4 and held an 11-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities.

LC (11-1/5-0) hosts Guilford College (1-12/1-5) Wednesday at 7 p.m.
