Five Hornets Named All-South Atlantic Region

Lynchburg, VA—Five Hornets were recognized by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) for their season performances with All-South Atlantic Region honors.

Senior goalkeeper Audrey Moore, senior midfielder Shelley Hoath, and junior defender Rachel Sadowski were named to the first team, while forwards, sophomore Dessi Dupuy and junior Angela Bosco, were second and third team respectively.

Moore's 0.46 goals against average led the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). She was third in goals against with 10 and save percentage at .792. Hoath provided on both an offensive and defensive end, netting six goals and five assists on the year. Sadowski rounded out the first team from her spot on the defensive line. Sadowski anchored a team that held opponents to 0.42 goals per game. Two of her five goals were game-winners.

Dupuy steps onto the second team with a league-leading 27 goals and six assists, matching her point total from her freshman year. Bosco joins the All-Region Third Team, having led the ODAC in points with 61. Her 17 assists were tops in the conference while her goal total of 22 was second only to Dupuy.

Lynchburg finished the season 21-1-3, advancing as far as the NCAA Division III Third Round.
