Head Coach Todd Olsen Records 300th-Career Victory
FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Junior forward Angela Bosco scored twice Sunday afternoon as the 11th-ranked Lynchburg College women's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 victory at Methodist University in non-conference action. Dr. Todd Olsen recorded his 300th career win with the victory. Taking over in the fall of 1994, Olsen has 16-straight winning seasons, has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Coach of the Year seven times and all-state Coach of the Year six times.
The Hornets got on the scoreboard on an unassisted goal from Bosco at 13:39. Freshman forward Morgan Singer found the back of the net two minutes later on a feed from senior Shelley Hoath and LC took the 2-0 edge into intermission.
Junior defender Rachel Sadowski made the lead 3-0 on an assist from senior Nikki Rhodes and Bosco ended the scoring at 72:46 from junior Gracie Withers.
The Hornets controlled the shot (25-2) and corner kick (10-1) statistical categories. Senior Audrey Moore and junior Karsen Schottleutner combined to make two saves in net for Lynchburg, while Sarah Hayden made eight stops for the Monarchs (2-5).
