LC Women's Lacrosse Rolls to a 16-0 Victory over Hollins
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 16-0 victory Thursday evening over visiting Hollins University in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener for the Hornets.
The Hornets scored seven goals in the first nine minutes of the game and never looked back.
Two Hornets had four assists on the evening: sophomore midfielder Katie Seidel and junior attack Caroline Kilby. Senior attack Kendall Adkin posted three goals and an assist while freshman midfielder Katherine Francis also had a hat trick. Junior midfielder Bri Slate contributed a goal and three assists while Seidel and freshman attack Caroline Carozza each posted two goals. Sophomores Ryland Scott and Alyssa Rossi had a goal and an assist and junior Kilby, Brianna LaMarca and freshman Jamie Nakoa also found the back of the net.
Scott had a game-high five draw controls with four groundballs and four caused turnovers. Francis tallied four draw controls and four caused turnovers.
For Hollins (1-3/0-2 ODAC), Corrine Nicholson made nine saves.
The Hornets (2-1/1-0) travel to Clermont, FL next week for two games over Spring Break. LC will open with Gettysburg University Monday at 5 p.m.
