LC Women's Lacrosse Wins Second Straight Sportsmanship Award

FOREST, VA – For the second year in a row, the Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team received the team sportsmanship award, as released by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) office recently.   The award was given to head coach Bruce Reid, and is voted on by ODAC officials and given to the team showing the greatest level of sportsmanship.

When asked about the award, Reid shared "I'm honored to receive this award from the ODAC. This is recognition for all the hard work of our players and coaching staff, this is truly a team award.  We take sportsmanship very seriously at Lynchburg College, playing the game the right way is essential. Our student athletes are taught to treat opposing players, coaches, officials and game administrators with respect."

LC finished tied for second in the ODAC last year with a record of 7-2 in conference, with an 11-7 overall record.
