LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team brought a balanced offensive attack Wednesday afternoon as 10 Hornets scored in a 19-2 victory over visiting Randolph College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.

The Hornets started the game with four goals, two from junior attack Kendall Adkin, before Randolph got on the scoreboard. Senior attack Lesley Buckingham netted two goals in another LC 4-0 surge before WildCat Danielle Haney scored to make the game 8-2. The Hornets scored with three minutes before halftime and led 9-2 at intermission. Lynchburg scored all 10 goals after the break.

Adkin finished with four goals and an assist for LC, while sophomore midfielder Bri Slate scored three times and added two assists. Buckingham and junior Julie Will each scored twice with one assist and junior Sarah Shannon and freshman Margot Holland found the back of the net twice. Junior Carley Dobson, freshman Katie Seidel and freshman Abby Sard all tallied a goal and an assist, while freshman Shannon Brockley also scored.

Haney scored twice for Randolph (4-10/2-6 ODAC) and Courtney Kellogg assisted on her second goal.

Freshman Hailey Bossert and senior Christina Tran combined to make six saves for the Hornets.

Lynchburg (9-6/6-2 ODAC) travels to Sweet Briar College Friday for another ODAC game at 4 p.m. Buckingham's three points this afternoon tie her for the career school record in points, which she will look to break against the Vixens.
