Q&A With Hornet of the Week Lesley Buckingham

The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The twenty-second student-athlete in this series is senior women's lacrosse player Lesley Buckingham. She notched six goals in the first game of the year against Berry College in a 17-7 victory. Buckingham also registered four draw controls, two ground balls and forced three turnovers in the contest. The Herndon, Virginia native also converted on her only free-position attempt of the day for one of her goals and was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

Why did you choose Lynchburg College?

What do you like most about LC women's lacrosse?

What I love about Lynchburg women's lacrosse are our team traditions. From pregame warm-up and talks, to our team bonding activities that we participate in every year.  These activities every year bring our team together and keep us close.

My favorite professor is Dr. McKinney, she brings life and excitement to the classroom everyday.  She is also my advisor and has always been there for me and keep me on track towards graduation and making the most of my educational experience at LC.
