Katie Bruce Earns Second-Team All-Atlantic Region Honors

LYNCHBURG, VA - Lynchburg College junior Katie Bruce (Lanexa, VA/Lafayette) earned second-team 2010 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Atlantic Region honors recently.

Bruce, a pitcher/designated hitter, earned first-team All-Old dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) accolades. The junior right-hander was 15-8 with a 2.67 ERA with 95 strikeouts in 146.2 innings. Bruce hit .323, drilling six home runs and eight doubles, and scored a team-high 34 runs.

The Hornets finished the season 24-17 overall and 12-6 in conference play.
