Q and A with Hornet of the Week Andrew Osborne
The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The 12th student-athlete selected this year is men's cross country sophomore Andrew Osborne.
Osborne is coming off one of his better races of the season at the South/Southeast Regional Meet held at Christopher Newport University this past Saturday. Osborne ran the 8K race in 25:52, finishing 17th overall while garnering All-Region honors for the first time.
You finished 17th and earned All-Region honors in this year's South/Southeast Regional Meet. What was working well for you to put up the time you did?
This year was a rebuilding for us and the team progressed quite nicely. I'd have to say Christopher Newport's course is one of my favorites. Lee Hall is a very forgiving course for a runner.
What is your favorite thing about Lynchburg cross country?
I really enjoy LCXC because of the unique traveling opportunities and races that are to come as the season progresses.
What do you like most about Lynchburg College?
I believe the atmosphere of the LC student body brings very positive vibes and this campus thrives off of it.
How has being a student-athlete shaped you as a person over these past two years?
Being a student-athlete has strengthened my time management skills because there is so much that needs to be done to be successful.
