Hornet Men compete at Shenandoah Valley Cross Country Invite

Elkton, VA - The Lynchburg College men's cross country team competed at the Shenandoah Valley Invitational Saturday morning, hosted by Eastern Mennonite University and Bridgewater College. The Hornets finished fourth in the meet and third among the other ODAC schools that competed.

Sophomores Andrew Osborne and Tyler Timblin both finished in the top 10 in the four mile race, running 21:13 and 21:21 and placing fourth and sixth, respectively. Next to cross the line for the Hornets was senior David Brown who ran a time of 22:04 which placed him 19th. Freshman Drew Smith finished in 22nd with a time of 22:18. Rounding out the top five for the Hornets was freshman Kevin Conley who ran a time of 22:46 which placed him 31st.

The Hornets' next outing is October 5, where they will travel to Bethlehem, PA for the Paul Short Invitational meet.
