Hornets Compete at Furman XC Classic

Greenville, SC - The Lynchburg College men's Cross Country team competed at the Furman XC Classic at Furman University on Saturday. The Hornets placed third overall against 16 other Division II, III and NAIA schools. 

Anthony McBride crossed the line first for the Hornets, finishing the 8k race with a time of 25:34 which placed him 10th overall. Tyler Timblin and Andrew Osborne finished 19th and 21st overall, running times of 26:05 and 26:09 respectively. Senior David Brown crossed the line in 43rd with a time of 27:15. Rounding off the top five for the Hornets was Evan Parry who finished the race in 27:29 which placed him 52nd. 

The Hornets will compete again next Saturday, traveling to the Eastern Mennonite/Bridgewater College invitational.
