McBride Makes USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
NEW ORLEANS, LA – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its All-Academic Team recently, and Lynchburg College men's cross country runner Anthony McBride found himself among those honored.
McBride is a computer science and mathematics double-major who boasts a 3.76 cumulative GPA. He also had a very successful season this past fall. He finished seventh at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships in a time of 26:59.8, to earn First Team All-ODAC honors. McBride then followed it with a ninth-place finish at the South/Southeast Regionals in a time of 26:13.37, which made him a member of the All-Region team.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the most-recent semester and placed in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
