PENN LAIRD, VA – Senior Lawrence Minor's second-place finish Friday led the Lynchburg College men's cross country team to the team title at the Doc Jopson Invite, hosted by Bridgewater College at Turner Ashby High School.

Minor finished the 6K run in 19:49, only behind Eastern Mennonite University's Dan Nafzinger (19:30). Sophomore Anthony McBride was close behind in third place in 20:04, while freshman Tyler Timblin (20:36), senior Nolan Compton (20:38) and junior James Parry (20:45) finished in ninth, 10th and 11th, respectively.

The Hornets' team score was 32 overall, followed by Bridgewater with 45, Washington & Lee University with 69 and EMU with 99.

LC will compete next Saturday at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational.
