Hornet Men Finish Fourth at EMU

PENN LAIRD, VA – The Lynchburg College men's cross country team opened the 2012 season Friday evening with a fourth-place finish at the 10-team Eastern Mennonite University Invitational, hosted at Peakview Park.

Several of LC's top runners did no compete in the first meet of the fall. Tim Smith of Roanoke College won the individual title in 27:41. Freshman Tyler Timblin placed seventh to pace Lynchburg in 29:52, while Daniel Ferrell was 18th in 30:46.  Andrew Osborne crossed the finish line in 19th in 30:47, James Parry was 28th in 31:51 and Chris DeCarmen placed 30th in 31:52

The Hornets will travel to Iona College Saturday, September 15.
