Hornet Men Compete at UVA
EARLYSVILLE, VA - The Lynchburg College men's cross country team finished fourth in a competitive field Friday afternoon at the University of Virginia/Lou Onesty Invitational, run at Panorama Farms. Division I teams took the first three places (Norfolk State, UVA and VCU), with LC in fourth and Bridgewater in fifth.
Ryan Van Alstine (Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) paced LC with an 11th-place finish in 25:57. Four Hornets finished close together in the middle of the pack: Daniel Cutright (27:28 - Montpelier, VA/Louisa County), Patrick Cobb (27:45 - Dumfries, VA/Forest Park), Cody Stanton (27:45 - Memphis, TN/Jordan Elbridge) and Brandon Demers (27:48 - Cypress, TX/Leonardtown) in places 27th, 29th, 30th and 32nd, respectively.
The Hornets travel to Virginia Tech next Friday at 5 p.m.
