Lynchburg Men's Cross Country Runs at Randolph College
LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College men's cross-country team opened up the season with a second place finish at the Randolph College Invitational on Wednesday.
The Hornets finished with 36 points behind Roanoke who won the meet with a score of 29 points. Ryan Van Alstine (Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) finished sixth with a time of 29:07. Cody Stanton (Memphis, NY/Jordan Elbridge) finished seventh with a time of 29:32, Patrick Cobb (Dumfries, VA/ Forest Park) recorded a time of 29:33 for eighth place. Daniel Cutwright (Montpelier, VA/Louisa County) was right behind his teammates in ninth place with a time of 29:33 and Brandon Demers (Cypress, TX/Leonardtown) rounded out the pack with a time of 29:41 and finished in 11th place.
The Hornets will head to the University of Virginia on Sept. 10.
