LYNCHBURG, VA – Several competitors recorded outstanding performances Friday as the Lynchburg College men's and women's indoor track and field teams traveled across town to the Liberty University Quad Meet.

Freshman Jared Bloomquist highlighted the night for LC, leaping 6'6" in the high jump to put him 15th in the nation and seventh all-time at Lynchburg College. Sophomore Rachad Davis ran an 8.50 in the 60-meter hurdles to reach the finals, while senior James Bell ran a 9.11 in the event and also cleared 13'9" in the pole vault. Senior Ralph Davis threw 56'9" in the weight throw, the second-best mark in LC history, and sophomore Evan Parry ran a 2:01.7 in the 800 meters.

Sophomore Naomi Tice ran a 2:27 in the 800 and sophomore Krystal Foster finished the mile in 5:30. Junior Kiley Trennepohl ran the 5k in 20:08 and junior Kori Penick moved into second-place all-time with a 41'2" heave in the shot put.

Lynchburg is slated to compete next Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays.
