LC Men Defeated by VWC 9-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team faced off against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Virginia Wesleyan College, ranked #19 in the South Atlantic region, on Friday afternoon and were defeated 9-0 at home.

Senior Matt Karvelas won six games against Graham Wilson at the #1 singles spot, while sophomore Tyler Long took three games at #4 singles. Karvelas and freshman Andrew Link teamed up at #1 doubles and were able to win three games against Wilson and Kenneth Downing.  Long and sophomore Josh Johnson battled at #2 doubles and took four games overall.

Lynchburg had to default matches at #3 doubles, #5 singles and #6 singles.

The Hornet men (0-10/0-9 ODAC) will compete against the Wasps of Emory & Henry College in ODAC play at home on Sunday in their last match of the regular season.
