LC Men's Tennis Loses 7-2 to Hampden-Sydney

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team traveled to face Hampden-Sydney College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup on Wednesday and lost 7-2.

Derek Kegerreis teamed up with Owen Landon to take #1 doubles 8-6, while Tyler Long and Matt Karvelas competed at #3 doubles, winning 8-3. Karvelas also competed at #1 singles in a battle against Zack Fox and was able to win five games in the first set and four games in the second. Kegerreis captured four games in the first set at #2 singles, while Landon was able to take five games in the first set at #4 singles. Blake Underwood finished off a hard-fought match at #6 singles by picking up five games in the second set.

The Hornet men (3-4/1-4 ODAC) will be back in action on Thursday, April 4 at home against ODAC opponent Randolph-Macon College at 3:00 p.m.
