LC Men's Tennis Loses to Division I Longwood 6-1

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team finished off its 2011-12 regular season by losing 6-1 to a tough Division I Longwood University team at home on Saturday.

Freshmen Casey Vines and Christian Golden took #3 doubles, winning by default, while Golden also won #6 singles by default. Sophomore Matt Karvelas and junior Derek Kegerreis competed well at a challenging #1 doubles spot against Longwood's Dan Elston and internationally ranked three-time Georgia National Champion Giorgi Khmiadashvili, losing the match 8-3.

Lynchburg finishes the season with a 3-14 overall record and a 0-9 mark in conference for the 2011-12 season.
