LC Men's Tennis Defeats Shenandoah 8-1

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team faced off in a non-conference matchup against Shenandoah University on Wednesday at home and won 8-1.

Juniors Derek Kegerreis and Cody Crampton teamed up to win 8-3 at #1 doubles, while sophomore Matt Karvelas and freshman Christian Golden won 8-5 at #2 doubles. Junior Owen Landon and freshman Casey Vines won 8-1 at #3 doubles.

Karvelas competed in #1 singles and won 6-0, 6-1, while Crampton took #2 singles by winning 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6). Landon won at #3 singles 6-3, 6-2 and Golden won 6-4, 6-2 at #4 singles. Sophomore Hyun Suk Lee won 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles.

The Hornet men (2-5) will be back in action on Sunday, March 18 when they will face off against Guilford at home in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup at 1 p.m.
