Moore Named ODAC POW

FOREST, VA – Lynchburg College men's soccer player Luke Moore was honored Monday afternoon by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) office as Player of the Week.

Moore was a force for LC this past week.  He scored three goals, including the game-winners in both games, and assisted on the insurance goal over Guilford College.  In the win over Bridgewater College during Homecoming, Moore scored the first two goals of the game, with both coming less than eight minutes in.  On the first goal, he crossed the defender and put it by the Eagle goalkeeper.  Moore's second goal was even more impressive, ripping a shot from 30 yards out, that curled into the far corner.

The reigning ODAC Rookie of the Year has seven goals on the year and one assist.  It was his first career POW award.

The Hornets will conclude their regular season on Tuesday, as they host Virginia Wesleyan College at 7 p.m.  The game will have major ramifications on the upcoming ODAC tournament, which begins this Saturday.
