LC Men's Soccer Gives Back to Community

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's soccer team participated in a community service effort along with Rebuilding Together on Thursday, October 11.

The Hornets worked with veterans to help clear a lot for the future site of the Marine Corp League. The League is a place for veterans in the Lynchburg area to come together and spend time with each other.

The men's team has worked with Rebuilding Together in the past and looks to continue in the future.

Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest nonprofit organization working to preserve homeownership and neighborhoods by providing rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need.  Through the support of corporate sponsors, local businesses, and the hands-on work of a quarter-million volunteers, like LC men's soccer, Rebuilding Together rehabs and repairs more than 9,000 homes each year. In addition to its core home repair work, Rebuilding Together rehabs community centers and conducts home modification and repair programs that focus on elder home safety, energy efficiency, veterans housing, and disaster recovery and reconstruction.
