Hornets go on the Road, Come Home with Tie

LEXINGTON, VA- Lynchburg College men's soccer is still undefeated in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. The Hornets collected their fourth tie in six conference matches, leaving the pitch at Washington and Lee scoreless.

Junior Michael Releford made three saves on the day, two of which came in the overtime periods as Washington and Lee controlled most of the sessions.

The Generals outshot the Hornets 5-0 in the 20 minutes of overtime play.

LC was outshot in the match 19-6, but managed two shots on goal as opposed to the three the Generals managed. The Generals had the advantage in corner kicks as well, 8-3.

Albert Civitarese made two saves for Washington and Lee (7-3-1/4-1-1 ODAC).

Lynchburg plays Hampden-Sydney on Shellenberger Field Wednesday, October 10. The game starts on the pitch at 7:00 p.m.
