#2 LC Men's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Matchup with Stockton College
ROANOKE, VA – The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey men's soccer team used an early goal to defeat second-ranked Lynchburg College 1-0 on Saturday night in a non-conference matchup in the Roanoke College Invitational.
Pat Rafferty gave the Ospreys (2-1) the one-goal advantage at 10:41 of the first half off a corner kick. Lynchburg could not break through offensively due to Stockton goalie Tim Brett making six saves off seven shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Releford made one save in the loss for LC.
Lynchburg hosts the Shellenberger Classic next weekend beginning with a match against Maryville College on Saturday at 11 AM.
