LC Men's Soccer Schedule Released, Set to Defend ODAC Title

LYNCHBURG, VA – Coming off the best season in program history and a run to the NCAA Division III Championship game, Lynchburg men's soccer will open the 2011 campaign at the Roanoke College Invitational against Emory University on September 2.

Lynchburg defeated Emory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season 2-1. The first home game on Shellenberger Field will take place on September 10 when LC hosts Maryville College in the Shellenberger Memorial Classic. 

Lynchburg finished the 2010 season with a 20-5-1 record and captured the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title. The unranked Hornets squad then made it all the way to the NCAA Championship Final before falling to Messiah University 2-1 in overtime.
