Lynchburg College Finishes Second in All-Sport, College Division Survey

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Virginia All-Sport College Division Survey has been released for the 2012-13 school year and Lynchburg College finds itself in second place with a 62.7% overall winning percentage.

Christopher Newport University won the survey for the fifth straight year, amassing a 76.2% winning percentage this past academic year, the school's second-best percentage of victory during the streak.

Lynchburg had a successful year, winning five conference championships in women's soccer, field hockey, men's cross country, and men's indoor and outdoor track and field.

Six LC teams advanced to NCAA postseason play including women's soccer, field hockey, men's cross country, men's lacrosse, softball, and men's track and field.

Lynchburg was the top Old Dominion Athletic Conference school listed, followed by Washington and Lee University in fifth, Hampden-Sydney College in sixth, Bridgewater College in seventh, Virginia Wesleyan College in eighth, with Roanoke College rounding out the top ten.
