Voumard Leads Men's Lacrosse All-American Honorees

PERRY, NY – The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team was well represented in postseason awards as senior Max Voumard was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) third-team All-American to go along with USILA Scholar All-American honors.

The USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions across all three divisions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities.

Voumard led the Hornets with 34 goals and 43 points while finishing second with 42 ground balls.

Joining Voumard on the All-American third-team is defenseman Jon Gill. A junior, Gill scooped 37 ground balls while leading the Hornet defense with 25 caused turnovers.

Seniors Pat Ohrem and Vin Curran round out the Hornet recipients with honorable mention All-American accolades.

Ohrem finished his Hornet career with 16 goals and 12 assists in his senior campaign. He picked up 21 ground balls while providing assistance to the other LC attacks. Curran caps his season with 29 goals, including two hat tricks in the NCAA tournament. The senior served as the primary faceoff man, winning 54% of them while collecting a team-high 71 ground balls.

Lynchburg wrapped up its season with two wins in the NCAA tournament and a record of 14-6.
