Two Hornets Selected to Play in Senior North/South Game

PERRY, NY – Two members of the Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team were selected Tuesday to participate in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Laxworld Division III Senior North/South Game.

Seniors Vin Curran and Max Voumard are two of 64 student-athletes selected nationwide to take part. Both Hornets were named first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) performers this year.

Curran took over duties as LC's top face-off man this spring and still managed to be one of the team's most potent scorers. He won 54 percent of his face-off opportunities and led the squad with 71 ground balls. Curran was third on the team with 29 goals and finished with 36 points.

Voumard led the team and tied for 10th in the ODAC with 34 tallies, and added nine assists for 43 points. He caps an outstanding career by being named to the All-ODAC team in each of his four seasons and the all-state team in his first three years (the 2013 all-state team has yet to be announced). Voumard received the College's Senior Male Athlete Award in late April.

The contest will be played at Edith Robb Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, PA, this Friday, May 24 at 3 p.m. For more details and a detailed history of the game, please visit: http://www.usila.org/north_south.html
