LYNCHBURG, VA – The 13th-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team will be one of 29 institutions competing for a national title in the next few weeks as the field was announced Sunday night for the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The Hornets will have a home game Wednesday, May 8 against St. Mary's College of Maryland.

The Seahawks upset defending national champion Salisbury 13-11 Sunday afternoon to capture the Capital Athletic Conference title and earn its automatic bid. This is St. Mary's (12-6) first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The winner of Wednesday's matchup will move forward to face the winner of Roanoke College/Centre College on Saturday at a site to be determined. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference earned three bids and all three teams will host first-round games; LC, Roanoke and W&L.
