2013 Men's Lacrosse Schedule Filled with Intrigue
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team released its 2013 schedule on Friday, and there are multiple games of interest, including the season-opener. LC hosts the defending national champion Salisbury University Seagulls on February 16 at 1 p.m.
The Hornets will take on two teams that lost to Salisbury in the NCAA tournament last year. Cabrini College visits Shellenberger Field on March 2, and LC travels to Stevenson University on March 30.
Lynchburg faces-off against one other 2012 NCAA participant, traveling to Gettysburg College on March 9. It will be the first time LC head coach Steve Koudelka faces his alma mater and former coach in the regular season. The Hornets will also be going against former Lynchburg College All-American and assistant coach Chris Perzinski, who is now the top assistant for the Bullets.
Included in the schedule is a six-game road trip during March, nine Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) games. The league slate is comprised of two games against newcomers to the ODAC: Shenandoah University, who just joined the league, and Bridgewater College, who is in its first year as a program. There will also be the matchup with Roanoke College on April 6, which will pit the past two ODAC champions against each other.
