Three Hornets Selected to Play in Senior North/South Game
PERRY, NY – Three members of the Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team were selected to participate in Division III Senior North/South Game, as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Monday. Seniors Franc Cook, Dylan Hoff, and Andrew Wilfong were three of 64 seniors selected nationwide to take part.
All three players were named first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) performers this year. Cook posted a league-low 6.28 goals against average and added 51 groundballs and 168 saves. Hoff, Lynchburg College's co-Senior Athlete of the Year, led the ODAC in goals with 52 and overall points with 81. Hoff also became the LC all-time leader in points on April 11 against Christopher Newport University. Wilfong finished second on the team with 49 points, while scoring 28 goals for the year.
"Playing in this game is a huge honor in the sport of lacrosse. All three of these young men were tremendous student-athletes and this is a wonderful capstone event to their college careers," said LC head mentor Steve Koudelka. "Congratulations to Franc, Dylan and Andrew. This is an outstanding honor and they will be great representatives of Lynchburg College."
The game will take place at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Massachusetts this Friday at 3 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased at the stadium.
