Hornets Lend a Hand at Virginia 10 Miler
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College athletic department had a large presence Saturday at the Virginia 10 Miler, the 38th year of the race.
Close to 50 men's lacrosse student-athletes assisted the race at the water station located between miles 4-6. The Hornets helped facilitate the race and assisted in setting up and tearing down the tables afterwards.
The LC athletic department sponsored a seven-person team to compete in the 10 miler. Women's soccer assistant coach Catherine Adams, exercise physiology assistant profession Dr. Sean Collins, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Tim Laurent, women's basketball head coach Abby Pyzik, women's lacrosse head coach Bruce Reid, director of cross country and track and field Doug Thomasey and athletic trainer Courtney Williamson comprised the LC team. The men's team took third place in the corporate division.
