WINCHESTER, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team played Monday at the Virginia State Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by Shenandoah University at the Winchester County Club. The tourney was shortened to just one day as Sunday's round was cancelled due to rain.

Junior Ned Jensen tied for 14th place with a 75, and the Hornets finished with a 321 on the day, good for 10th place. Scott Stevens, Jeff Brochetti and Trey Barden each fired an 82, while Bennett Owen carded a 91 on the par-72 course.

Hampden-Sydney College won the team title with a 287, one-under par.

The Hornets will finish the fall season next Sunday and Monday at the Ted Kellar Invitational in Ashland, VA at the Hanover Country Club.
