Hornet Golf Tied for Second after One Round of ODACs

CAPE CHARLES, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team shot a 316 Sunday to tie for second place after one round of play at the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. The three-day, 10-team event is being held at the Palmer Course at Bay Creek Resort & Lodge. Nationally-ranked Guilford College leads after one round with a team score of 305 and Randolph-Macon College also finished the day with 316.

Freshman Colby Francis shot a 76 on the par-72 course to tie for third place individually. Matthew Lipscomb carded a 79 to tie for ninth and Chad Wisecarver took an 80 into the clubhouse to tie for 12th. Santiago Anguera finished with an 81 and Ned Jensen had an 85.

The championship is scheduled to continue Monday and conclude Tuesday.
