LC Golf Comes Back for Strong Finish at Tom Kinder Invite

HARRISONBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team shot a 298 on day two of the Tom Kinder Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Club. The team score was 12 shots better than LC's day one total, allowing the Hornets to make up six spots and finish in 7th place. The Hornets put up a combined score of 608.

Freshman Colby Francis shot a 69 in the second round for a two-day total of 141. Francis finished third overall in the field. Chad Wisecarver shot a 73, followed by Matthew Lipscomb's 75. Santiago Anguera and Scott Stevens rounded out the team with an 81 each.

Virginia Intermont's Trevor Banks won the invitational with a two-day score of 134. Milligan won the team title with a combined score of 579.

The Hornets travel to the Hampden-Sydney Invitational at The Manor on September 24-25.
