Hornet Golf in Second at Virginia Intercollegiate Championship

Suffolk, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team sits in second place Sunday after the first day of play at the Virginia Intercollegiate Championship at Nansemond River Golf Course, hosted by Randolph-Macon College. LC shot a team score of 300, trailing just Bridgewater College (292) and tied with Averett University.

Dusty Scott fired a two-under par 70 to tie for the individual lead on the par 72, 6750-yard course. Matt Lipscomb finished even par with a 72, while Conrad Anguera and Samson Shahady each shot 79s. Chad Wisecarver carded a 92.

The 11-team event concludes Monday.
