LC Golf in Second at Shipbuilder Tourney

Williamsburg, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team is in second place Monday after day one of the Glenn Heath Memorial Shipbuilders Golf Tournament at Fords Colony, hosted by Newport News Apprentice. There are 11 teams competing at the two-day event.

Conrad Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci Amer. Int.) shot a team best 74 Monday, while Daniel Haugh (Earlysville, VA/Albemarle) and Matthew Lipscomb (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield) each carded 81s. Dusty Scott (Ivor, VA/Tidewater Academy) fired an 82 and Joey Brunet (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellum) and Chad Wisecarver (Rustburg, VA/Rustburg) each finished the round with an 87.

The Tournament is scheduled to conclude Tuesday, weather permitting.
