2013-14: athletic wing finished a great career…was named second-team All-ODAC for the second straight time after averaging over 16 points per game…played in every game with 22 starts…reached the 1,000 point milestone in a win over Washington and Lee University which is impressive because he only tallied 48 points as a freshman…offensive player became a much defender over his career…almost won a spot in the college basketball dunk contest…will be very tough for the coaching staff to replace next year.

2012-13: Explosive wing who made an enormous jump in his junior campaign, eventually being named All-ODAC Second Team…hit two game-winning threes (@ Manhattanville, vs. Roanoke) and hit a three to help give LC a comeback win (vs. EMU)…improved his defensive work as well in his junior year…will be asked to continue his rise a senior and take over an improved leadership role next year.

2011-12: Super-athletic wing exploded in his second season at Lynchburg…averaged 8.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, and tied for first on the squad in three-pointers made…had back-to-back games of 21 points against Marymount (Va.) University and Goucher College in November…was named ODAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for efforts in those games…highlight reel dunker will be expected to make another jump in his junior season.

2010-2011: Appeared in 10 games for Hornets…Averaged 4.8 points per game, with a high of 10 points against Johnson and Wales (NC) in a win on December 6

Before LC: Two year starter for Shenendehowa High School…Named defensive player of the year as a senior…Helped team win Suburban Council championship

Personal: Son of Luis and Nancy Hernandez…Has one brother…Father played football at Mexico University.
