Milks Receives NCAA Nomination Award from Tracy Wolfson

LYNCHBURG, VA – The NCAA held the Woman of the Year reception recently and Lynchburg College field hockey graduate Shelly Milks was in attendance.

Milks, a native of Gloucester, VA, was one of 30 student-athletes recognized across all three divisions, 10 being from Division III, for the Woman of the Year award.

Although she did not ultimately receive the top prize, she was the first nominee from Lynchburg College. Milks was recognized during the ceremony and received her nomination from Tracy Wolfson, a CBS Sports Network host. Wolfson has also been a sideline reporter for SEC and NFL football, NCAA basketball, and the NBA throughout her career.
